Youth who participate in 4-H Theatre Arts programs develop life skills that include communication, stage presence, public speaking, working behind the scenes and in front, responsibility, teamwork, community service, a positive attitude, critical thinking, problem solving and a sense of self-worth.

Projects:

  • Act 1: Journey into the Imagination- An introduction the theatre language, set up and performance. Gain skills to start your theatre portfolio.
  • Act 2: Soaring into Action- An in depth look at using a script and theater acting. Complete activities to help your skills and continue to build your portfolio.
  • Act 3: Quest for Expression- Move through this project book based on your interests and theatre experience. Build your portfolio with audio and video clips of your performance practice.
  • Act 4: Voyaging Beyond- Finish your theater arts journey with self-discovery as theater arts expert. By now you have a portfolio ready to take your theatre skills and put them to work!

Cloverbud Theatre Arts Opportunities

Youth between 5 and 7 can participate in our 4-H Cloverbud program! This non-competitive program introduces young children to the world of Theatre Arts while focusing on fundamentals.
