Combine a flare for photography, collecting, and arts and crafts into one project: scrapbooking!
Youth who participate in 4-H Scrapbooking programs develop life skills that include creativity, teamwork, entrepreneurship, community service, a positive attitude, critical thinking, problem solving and a sense of self-worth.
Learn about:
- The different types of scrapbooking equipment.
- Creating different page layouts.
- Working pictures, cropping angles, decorative paper, embellishments, stickers and writing.
Participant outcomes:
- Members will learn how to design a page layout.
- Members will learn what materials to use and why.
- This project will result in a scrapbook of preserved memories.
Youth interested in Scrapbooking can explore careers like:
- Business owner
- Scrapbooking instructor
- Personally, preserving family keepsakes
- Digital scrapbook formatting consultant
Projects:
- Scrapbooking: The project is designed to give 4-H Members the opportunity to create a lasting, enjoyable, accurate history of a 4-H’ers life or achievements. Divided into three levels, each level requires mastery of a different skill to design and create a scrapbook.
Cloverbud Scrapbooking Opportunities
Youth between 5 and 7 can participate in our 4-H Cloverbud program! This non-competitive program introduces young children to the world of Scrapbooking while focusing on fundamentals.
