If you are creative, like working with your hands, and want to create something that is uniquely you, explore our arts and crafts projects!

Youth who participate in 4-H Arts and Crafts projects develop life skills that include creativity, responsibility, teamwork, community service, a positive attitude, critical thinking, problem solving and a sense of self-worth.

Learn about:

  • Safe handling of arts and crafts equipment
  • Following instructions or a pattern.
  • The principles and elements of design.
  • Displaying your projects.
  • Members will use engineering and math skills to conserve crafting supplies.

Participant outcomes:

  • Members will learn how to complete a project from start to finish.
  • Members will learn how to describe the process of completing their project.
  • This project will teach cost analysis and budgeting for craft supplies.

Youth interested in Arts and Crafts can explore careers like:

  • Artisian
  • Business owner of a brick-and-mortar store or an online store
  • Art Teacher
  • Arts and Craft Directors/Activity Director in care facility
  • Graphic Designer

Projects:

  • Arts and Crafts- Portfolio Pathways-Painting, Printing, and Graphic Design
  • Arts and Crafts- Sketchbook Crossroads-Drawing, Fiber and Sculpture
  • Crafts and Fine Arts-Your imagination is the only thing that can limit you in what you would like to create in this project.
  • Fiber Arts-Explore needle felting, weaving, macramé, felted soap.

Cloverbud Arts and Crafts Opportunities

Youth between 5 and 7 can participate in our 4-H Cloverbud program! This non-competitive program introduces young children to the world of Arts and Crafts while focusing on fundamentals.
