We share current research-based animal science information and resources with Pennsylvania and beyond.
Faculty members with extension appointments are the primary delivery sources for outreach programs; however, all faculty members leverage their teaching and research programs to serve people, businesses, and institutions.
Extension educators, scientists, and support staff provide science-based education and consultation services for animal management, breeding evaluation, animal welfare, and meat production.
Pennsylvania 4-H is Penn State Extension’s youth development program. Scientists, educators, and staff develop curricula and learning materials, and offer general support to 4-H animal projects that foster leadership, responsibility, friendship, compassion, responsibility, and other positive traits in youth.
