Pest Patrol

This project teaches children about safe ways to manage pests rather than rely on pesticides.

Grade Level: 3rd, 4th, 5th
Description: This project supports children's curiosity and extends their learning into the insect and "pest" world. This IPM, (Integrated Pest Management), project teaches children about safe ways to manage pests rather than rely on pesticides. They will learn about insects we often consider as pests, such as cockroaches, ticks, mosquitoes and bees and wasps. They will also experience when insects are pests and when they are welcome guests into our backyards.
