4-H is for Families
"I love being able to spend time with my daughter and her friends, along with helping them with their 4-H projects and leadership skills. I have watched my daughter grow in all aspects of leadership and public speaking skills. She has learned so much and loves to share the information with other kids and adults. It is very rewarding to be a part of her life in such an important way."

About 4-H
4-H members join local clubs where they complete projects in particular areas of interest. A project helps members build skills, expand their knowledge, and learn about careers. Screened adult volunteers provide club leadership and facilitation of educational programs. Any child between 5 and 18 years old can become a Pennsylvania 4-H member.
Membership:
Cloverbuds are children between 5 and 7 years old before January 1 of the current year. These members engage with age-appropriate educational opportunities that are non-competitive.
Youth between 8 and 18 years old before January 1 of the current year, living anywhere in Pennsylvania, can join the program and participate in educational and competitive events.
Cost:
Members pay a fee to cover educational materials. Additional fees vary by county and project area. Financial assistance is available.
