Meat-In Day at Penn State Huge Success

Penn State Collegiate Cattlewomen and Block and Bridle Club members promoted health benefits of animal products.

Penn State Collegiate Cattlewomen educated fellow students and faculty as part of the eighth annual Meat-In Day at the University Park Campus on March 18.  Members joined with Block and Bridle Club members to promote awareness of the health benefits of including animal products in the diet. They handed out string cheese, beef sticks and ham.

"Patty Melt," the giant hamburger, was a big hit, bringing smiles to those who saw her as she traveled around campus. Patty Melt handed out free samples to those looking like they needed a snack.

Collegiate Cattlewomen helped debunk myths about animal products and advocated for having them be part of a healthy diet.
