Osteochallenge raises money for the National Osteoporosis Foundation, promoting education and research about osteoporosis.

On Sunday, September 30, 2012, the Penn State Dairy Science Club will host the eleventh annual OsteoChallenge 5K Race/Walk at the Dairy Research and Education Center on Penn State's University Park campus. This charitable event raises money for The National Osteoporosis Foundation, which promotes education and research about osteoporosis, the bone crippling disease that affects more than 10 million Americans.

The Penn State Dairy Science Club invites any interested individuals to help fight osteoporosis by participating. Each runner is asked to raise at least $15 for this worthy cause; however, 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, and other groups are encouraged to set additional collection goals. OsteoChallenge 2012 registration forms are available at

Participants that pre-register by September 16, 2012 are guaranteed a free OsteoChallenge t-shirt. Walk-in registrations are also welcome on the day of the race. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. on race day, and the race begins at 10 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to winners of each age division.
