Opportunities to work at Penn State Animal Facilities

A limited amount of housing is available for students who work at animal facilities on campus.

Research and Work-Study Positions

Students in Animal Sciences have many opportunities to work with faculty on research projects through work-study positions, independent studies, and paid part-time positions connected with research grants and contracts.

Visit with any of our research faculty or talk to your adviser to find out how you might add research experience to your resume.

Work-Study

All students who answer "yes" to the question "In addition to grants, are you interested in 'work-study'?" on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the Web are considered for Work-Study for fall and spring semesters. (Federal Work-Study is a need-based aid program, so not all students who answer "yes" on the FAFSA receive a work-study award.) Students who are interested in summer work-study can apply via LionPATH prior to summer semester. See Penn State's Office of Student Aid for more information about the Work-Study Program.
