Zoetis invited Lisa Holden and Virginia Ishler to conduct a three-day workshop for senior managers of large dairy operations in China on October 13 - 15, 2014.

The objective of the workshop was how to implement management practices on farm. All of the operations in attendance had updated technology to operate their dairy business but they lacked the skills for implementation. The program focus was on human resource management and how to implement an action plan. The departments covered were forages and feeding, animal health, parlor and milking management, calves and heifers and reproduction.

On the afternoon of the last day participants broke into three groups to develop an action plan that was relevant to their operations. Each group then presented their action plan to everyone.
