2013 Meat-In Day to be Held Thursday, March 14

Posted: February 26, 2013

Members of Penn State Collegiate Cattlewomen and the Penn State Block and Bridle Club will collaborate on educating students and faculty about the health benefits of animal products.

The Penn State Collegiate Cattlewomen and Penn State Block and Bridle Club will hold the seventh annual Meat-In Day on the University Park campus on March 14, with the theme "Nice to meat you...Pleased to feed you." The event is designed to promote the consumption of meat and dairy products and inform students and faculty at Penn State about the health benefits of animal products. Food samples and educational flyers about the livestock industry will be handed out throughout the event.

The day will start outside of the Palmer Art Museum from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and then move inside to Findlay Commons at East Halls from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.

The two organizations invite involvement from many people in the College of Agricultural Sciences and the Department of Animal Science to help make Meat-In Day another success at Penn State!

Those who purchased this year's Meat-In Day shirt are encouraged to wear it on the day of the event to make a bold statement on campus.
