Description:   Each breed and riding or driving style produces its own publications on a regular basis for communications with members and potential members.  There are also communications that relate to the horse industry in general.  Communications may range from websites, email newsletters, printed publications available by subscription to books.

Someone hoping to fill one of these roles will want to develop strong skills in their specific area along with an understanding of the relevant aspect of the equine industry.  Most colleges and universities offer programs in journalism, marketing, public relations, etc.   Opportunities may exist to obtain a degree in one of these areas  with a specialization or minor related to the equine industry.  Some schools offer specific classes in equine communications.  Many publications offer internships to assist prospective employees in learning more about the industry.
