The Equine Science Minor , begun in 2002, continues to grow in enrollment. Currently, 49 students are enrolled, and 41 students below 4th semester standing have expressed intent to enroll. Approximately one-half of the students in the minor are majoring in Animal Sciences.
This provides us with a public relations opportunity to expose students to the science and management principles that students in the Animal Sciences major experience. Plans have been made to evaluate the minor by conducting a survey of graduates in the near future. Alumni of the Equine Science minor are asked to contact Karen Vines at firstname.lastname@example.org about this survey.
